The born-again Christians in Kagadi district have decried discrimination and lack of recognition on national events despite their unwavering support to the NRM government over the years.

Under their umbrella the National Fellowship of Born-Again Pentecostal Churches in Uganda-Kagadi chapter, the born-again Christians said have for long been sidelined in key sectors such as in recruitment of civil servants, awarding of tenders and government’s failure to recognize them on national events.

These held a meeting on Monday at Kagadi revival church in Kagadi town where they aired out their numerous grievances to the government.

Pastor Magezi F Ibrahim, the chairperson of Kagadi District Pastors Forum recalls a recent presidential PDM assessment tour in Bunyoro sub-region, where the born-again Christians and their pastors were not formally invited.

He calls for recognition and involvement of the born-again Christians at national events, highlighting their significant support to the government and contribution to the national development.

Pastor Magezi also urges the Kagadi district local government to always award business tenders to born again Christians and give them government jobs during the recruitment processes basing on their competencies and qualifications.
