Boda-Boda Rider Found Murdered in Ruzaire Forest Days After Disappearing.

Residents of Kiryanga Sub- County in Kagadi District are in shock after the body of a missing boda boda rider was discovered in Ruzaire Forest.

The deceased has been identified as Musilamu Tamale, believed to be in his 20s and a resident of Kiryanga Central Cell in Kiryanga Sub- County.

According to residents, Tamale was last seen on Friday evening at around 4:00 p.m. carrying a female passenger. He never returned, prompting relatives, residents, and police to launch a search.

His body was recovered on Monday in Ruzaire Forest in Kabaseke LC1.

The LC1 Chairperson of Kabaseke, Omuhereza Kugonza, described Ruzaire Forest as a crime hotspot, saying this is the ninth body to be recovered from the area this year.

The Chairperson of the Kiryanga Boda Boda Riders Tukurakurane Group, Daniel Tumwesigye, urged fellow riders to be extra cautious, especially when carrying unfamiliar passengers at night.

He advised riders to travel in groups when heading to isolated or high-risk areas.

Kiryanga Sub- County Female District Councillor Nsungwa Leticia expressed condolences to the bereaved family.

She urged boda boda riders to inform their stage leaders about their destinations, especially when transporting unfamiliar passengers.

By press time, police from Kiryanga Police Post visited the scene and launched investigations to establish the circumstances surrounding the death and identify those responsible.
