The Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Kagadi Lillian Ruteraho has commissioned renovated classroom block at Kagadi Model Primary School in Kagadi Town Council.
The 160M shillings rehabilitation project was funded under the Uganda Intergovernmental Fiscal Transfers Program-UGIFT.
Officiating at the commissioning exercise, Lillian Ruteraho challenged parents to fulfill their responsibilities of educating their children, cautioning them not leave the whole burden to the government.
She asked parents to contribute small amounts of money to supplement UPE grants to improve performance in Government schools.
The Kagadi district LC5 vice chairperson Vincent Ssemuga who also witnessed the commissioning exercise asked parents to educate their children in affordable government schools.
Meanwhile, Emmanuel Abigaba the headteacher Kagadi Model P/S commended government for renovating the school structures and is optimistic that the good learning environment will improve the school’s performance.
