Bar Owner, Waitress Arrested Over Death of Client

Hoima police is holding two people in relation to the gruesome murder of a man in his middle 20s in Karungu LC1, Kibugubya parish in Kyabigambire sub county, Hoima district.

The deceased has been identified as David Tumusiime hailing from Kyarushesha parish in Kabwoya sub county Kikuube district and at a time of his death was a herdsman working at a farm in Mparangasi cell, Bulindi Town council in Hoima district.

According to Julius Allan Hakiiza, the Albertine region police spokesperson on Sunday, the deceased went to a bar owned by Nicholas Ayesiga located in Kibugubya trading center for a drink and later booked a room at a lodge located at the same premises which he occupied together with the bar waitress identified as Immaculate Natukunda to spend part of the night.

However, residents discovered his body on Monday morning at the compound of Kibugubya primary school with knife cuts on the chest an indicator he could have been murdered.

Hakiiza says they have arrested the bar owner Nicholas Ayesiga and Immaculate Natukunda a waitress at the same bar and are currently being held at Hoima rural police station to assist in investigations.

Pesweri Katuramu chairperson LCI revealed that the deceased is in his 20s and had just worked for two months as a herdsman at a farm in Mparangasi cell, Bulindi Town council.
