The Electoral Commission has finalized the recruitment process of officers ahead of the display exercise of the national voters’ registering Kikuube district.

The exercise follows the completion of the update exercise which ended on April 30 in which new members were given an opportunity to be included in the register while others were able to transfer their details to other polling stations.

Speaking to Spice FM in an exclusive interview on Monday evening, Emmanuel Twine, the district returning officer revealed that display officers are going to be posted at all the 330 polling stations across the seven sub counties in the district ahead of the display exercise that kicks off on May 8-12.

Twine says they are in the process of recruiting parish tribunals consisting of five members each to handle all complaints that will arise from the display exercise. He says the tribunals will consist of elders, opinion leaders, and local leaders saying that the tribunal members are appointed by the Chief magistrate who is set to camp in the district to do the same.

The district elections registrar says between May 11-12, the members of the tribunal will sit and respond to all issues that will be raised by the voters in the display exercise of the exercise.
