Police in Kibaale District are hunting for a 16-year-old boy on allegations of killing his 21-year-old uncle by stoning over unclear circumstances.
The teenage boy whose names are withheld since he is a minor is said to have stoned Peter Mujuni, both residents of Kiguju Village in Bubango Sub- County.
According to John Kirabo, the father of the deceased, he had been away from home for several days but received a phone call informing him that the teenage suspect had a misunderstanding with his uncle on their way back from a party in the same area that resulted into a fight in which the latter stoned the deceased on the head.
Relatives of the suspect intervened and rushed Mujuni to Kabanda Clinic from where he was later referred to St. Luke Health Centre III but was pronounced dead on Sunday night.
Matia Kyaligonza, the Chairperson of Kiguju Village has condemned the act attributing such incidents to poor parenting of children leading to moral decay.
A comment from police regarding the incident was not available by press time.
