The National Identification and Registration Authority (NIRA) are set to officially launch the distribution of National Identity Cards in Kagadi District this Friday, April 24, this week.

According to Tom Ambrose Musinguzi, the NIRA officer in charge of Kagadi district, the exercise will run for seven days and will be conducted at the Kagadi Town Council headquarters.

Musinguzi explained that priority will be given to individuals who successfully registered with NIRA and received two confirmation messages.

The first message confirms the completion of the ID processing, while the second notifies applicants about the designated collection point for their IDs.

He added that the exercise will cover a range of services, including new registrations, renewals, and status checks for those who registered but have not yet received their IDs.

Musinguzi urged all residents to remain attentive to the schedule and ensure they collect their IDs promptly.
