Biiso town council in Buliisa District is registering a sharp surge in malaria cases.
This was disclosed by Dr. Jonan Alinaitwe the Acting In-charge of Biiso health center IV in Biiso town council, Buliisa District while in an interview with our reporter at the facility this evening.
According to Alinaitwe, there is a sharp rise in Malaria and Pneumonia cases, especially among children, noting that at least over 40 to 50 cases are recorded on daily basis.
The health expert adds that, despite the government’s effort to contain spread of the disease through distribution of mosquito nets, they are also conducting outreaches in different villages aiming at teaching community members especially mothers on malaria prevention.
