Bunyoro Kitara-Kingdom has rallied its people to actively participate in the upcoming National Population and Housing Census slated for May 10, 2024.

Andrew Byakutaaga, the Prime Minster Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom says building a stronger kingdom requires planning based on accurate data that is why it’s very important that we partner with an agency mandated by the state, Uganda Bureau of Statistics -UBOS, to provide national statistics.

The Prime Minister made the remarks on Wednesday during a meeting with UBOS Deputy Executive Director, Godfrey Nabongo at Bunyoro Kitara-Kingdom headquarters.

Byakutaga called on the kingdom subjects to embrace the census exercise.

During the meeting, Godfrey Nabongo the Deputy Executive Director UBOS highlighted the importance of the census exercise saying they want to know how many people are in the country, what their living conditions are, and what assets they possess and this will help in budgeting for the people.
