Police in Kikuube district are holding three people for allegedly murdering one Enock Atuhura, aged 23 years, a resident of Nyakabonge LC1 in Kinogozi parish, Kikuube district.
Julius Allan Hakiza the Albertine Region police mouthpiece disclosed that the suspects were only identified by one name and are Regan, Ayebale and Peter while others are still at large.
Hakiza says on 2nd February at around 11pm while at Mugisa’s bar in Nyakabonge LC1, the suspects picked a quarrel over the bar maid since all them were in love with her.
He reveals that as the fight went on, the security at the bar chased the trio out of the bar. Atuhura, now deceased rushed to see who was fighting. He allegedly used a torch to see the trio which angered on of the suspects Regan who then picked a knife and stabbed the young man on the left part of his chest. Atuhura was rushed to Hoima regional referral hospital where he breathed his last minutes later.
