Police in Hoima have recovered a tractor a Mahindra model registration number 9200 belonging to kinyara sugar factory in Masindi district.
Julius Allan Hakiza the Albertine Region police spokesperson says the regional police flying squad operatives managed to impound the tractor from Bulima in Masindi district.
Hakiza says the tractors was stolen by one man identified as Dan Tumusiime, aged 26 years, a resident of Kinubi in Hoima City some weeks ago. The suspect had planned to sell the tractor in neighbouring DR Congo.
He says police has arrested and detained Tumusiime at Hoima CPS as the hunt for his accomplices in ongoing.
