Police in Masindi are investigating circumstances under which  Joyce Adyeyo aged 40 years and his lover one Ambrose, a resident of Kibamba village in Kyakamese parish, Pakanyi Sub County in Masindi district was murdered.
Julius Allan Hakiza, the Albertine Region police spokesperson stresses that on March 3, 2024, two men only identified as Ambrose and Mulongo both suspected to be lovers to Joyce, collided at the woman’s house.
On the fateful day, Mulongo was the first to access Adyeyo’s house. Hours later, Ambrose also dropped by.
Hakiza says the two picked a quarrel and started fighting.
He adds that Mulongo hacked Ambrose on the hand during the fight before they both left the scene at around 2AM in the wee hours of the morning.
Hakiza says at around 8:00am on Monday, Ambrose was arrested by the community after realizing that Adyeyo had been killed and took him to the office of the village chairman where locals pounced on him and lynched him.
Mulongo has been arrested to help police with the investigations.
