Anatoli Kiiza, a man who police has arrested over six times for reportedly fabricating explosives has said he has been improving on his technologies and currently has six missiles ready for testing.
His first attempt to manufacture a missile was in 2012 but things did not go well after police confiscated his equipment, detained him but later was released before being produced to courts of law.
Kiiza, a 32-year-old who completed Senior Six explains that despite his arrests and torture by security agents, he has never thought of abandoning his dream of producing missiles.
Kiiza who hails from Kiryangobe village in Kitoba Sub County, Hoima district insists his missiles are made of a required standard claiming he has done enough research from missile manufacturing companies in USA, China, and North Korea among others.
A firm looking Kiiza says the “SAMU” missile which he manufactured about two years ago has been improved and can now move over 450 miles in 45 minutes while another type he describes as “Tykodongo” missile can travel over 230 miles in 35 minutes among others.
Kiiza says once approved, Uganda can save colossal sums of money it uses to procure war weapons from foreign countries.
Asked if he isn’t scared of being arrested again, Kiiza says he wants UDPF and other government security agents to give him a chance to test the explosive in their presence to give them a basis to either prove him right or wrong.
However, Richard Tabaro, the Hoima district deputy Resident District Commissioner says is not aware about Kiiza’s request letter for a missile test.
