The commercial structure was housing both wholesale and retail shops.<\/p>\n<p>Rogers Kusiima, a neighbor says that, they had a loud blast from one of the shops that was followed by huge flames. They immediately alerted the police fire and rescue services that rushed to put out the fire.<\/p>\n<p>Beatrice Agondeze, also a resident says, some residents attempted to put off the fire using water in vain.<\/p>\n<p>Jackson Wobusobozi, another resident explains that, he saw huge flames emerging from behind the commercial building after a loud blast.<\/p>\n<p>Julius Hakiza, the Albertine Region police spokesperson says, the fire brigade and rescue team rushed and contained the fire adding that there were investigating the cause of the fire.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Johnson Kanyesige Fire has gutted a commercial building in Hoima city destroying property worth millions of Shillings.
