Denis Kyasimiire, 45 and his wife Imelda Nyamaizi, 35, both residents of Northern Cell in Central Division,\u00a0Masindi\u00a0Municipality,\u00a0Masindi\u00a0district are hunting for 20 million shillings for heart surgery for their five-month-old baby girl.<\/p>\n
Devine Ninsiima, born on August 22, 2024 developed heart complications three months later after birth.<\/p>\n
Imelda Nyamaizi, the baby\u2019s mother, told our reporter that their baby was later admitted at\u00a0Masindi\u00a0General Hospital where they spent two weeks on oxygen but were later referred to Hoima Regional Referral Hospital.<\/p>\n
After spending three weeks at Hoima Regional Referral Hospital on oxygen, they were referred to Mulago National Referral Hospital.<\/p>\n
The mother of four stresses that they are\u00a0seeking\u00a020 million shillings for the surgery which is supposed to be done within the space of two months but they don\u2019t have money.<\/p>\n
Denis Kyasimiire, the baby\u2019s father says he has spent the little he had including selling land and they are about to be kicked out of the house due to accumulating rent bill.<\/p>\n
He therefore appeals for support from government, government officials and also well-wishers to save the life of their fourth child.<\/p>\n
