Turkish construction company SUMMA is spearheading the rapid development of Uganda\u2019s second national stadium in Hoima City, with remarkable progress being made toward meeting and potentially surpassing the ambitious 18-month timeline for completion.<\/p>\n

The $129 million multi-sports complex, commissioned by the Ugandan government, officially broke ground in July 2024 following the signing of the agreement earlier that year. Since then, SUMMA has maintained an impressive pace, ensuring visible progress in just six months.<\/p>\n

\"\"The stadium project will feature a 20,000-seater stadium, a 2,000-seater indoor multi-sports arena, a semi-Olympic-sized swimming pool, a training pitch, and outdoor courts for basketball, netball, and volleyball.<\/p>\n

A parking facility with a capacity of over 1,000 vehicles is also underway, showcasing the scale of the project.<\/p>\n

During their third inspection of the site, members of the National Council of Sports (NCS), including Assistant General Secretary for Administration Joseph Oluga and Engineering Officer Nicholas Zirimenya, expressed delight at the pace and quality of the work.<\/p>\n
