Police in Budaka district are investigating the circumstances under which an 82-year-old woman died in a pit latrine.\u00a0The incident occurred on Monday at Naigabya village, Bwase ward, Budaka town council.<\/p>\n
The deceased has been identified as Magret Nakalyesi, a resident of Naigabya village, Bwase ward, Budaka district.\u00a0It is alleged that Nakalyesi, who was partially blind due to old age, was found dead inside a 20-foot-deep pit latrine that had been dug by her neighbor, Sabano Joan, for future use.<\/p>\n
Samuel Semewo, the Bukedi North\u00a0Police spokesperson,\u00a0said police received a report about the incident from Wasoma Dongo, the LC1 Chairperson of Naigabya village. Following the report, officers retrieved Nakalyesi\u2019s body and transported it to Budaka Health Centre IV for a postmortem examination.<\/p>\n
