{"id":5587,"date":"2023-09-20T05:34:00","date_gmt":"2023-09-20T05:34:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/spicemedia.ug\/spicefm\/?p=5587"},"modified":"2023-09-20T05:37:51","modified_gmt":"2023-09-20T05:37:51","slug":"mtn-boosts-hoima-city-carnival-with-sh20m","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/spicemedia.ug\/spicefm\/2023\/09\/20\/mtn-boosts-hoima-city-carnival-with-sh20m\/","title":{"rendered":"MTN Boosts Hoima City Carnival With Sh20m"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong>By Leilah Bbaale<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>The preparation for Hoima City Carnival has gained momentum as MTN Uganda injected Sh20 million\u00a0 in the first ever carnival in Bunyoro region.<\/p>\n<p>The city was also selected by the ministry of tourism to host this year\u2019s World Tourism Day which slated to take place on September 27, 2023 under the theme \u201cTourism and Green Investment\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>While handing over the funds, Andre Tusubira, the regional commercial head MTN Uganda says MTN has decided to sponsor the carnival because of good initiatives which promote the city in Uganda and outside<\/p>\n<p>He adds that Hoima City decided to be in the Digital Environment and for that case they had to intervene and sponsor the city and its customers who will benefit from this carnival through selling various items.<\/p>\n<p>Hoima City Mayor Brian Kaboyo says the City Carnival will be an annual event held every August.<\/p>\n<p>He notes that this time, the carnival is being held in September to align with the World Tourism Day.<\/p>\n<p>He notes that the carnival will start on 26<sup>th<\/sup> of this month and it will end on 30<sup>th<\/sup> of this month with a bee hive of activities such as mayor\u2019s conference, heath camp, business symposium, bicycle racing and visiting Bunyoro\u2019s cultural sites.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Leilah Bbaale The preparation for Hoima City Carnival has gained momentum as MTN Uganda injected Sh20 million\u00a0 in the first ever carnival in Bunyoro region.
