Rv. Samuel Kahuma has expressed concern over the increasing evil acts in society and the entire world.<\/p>\n<p>In his Easter sermon to hundreds of Christians who turned up for the Easter service at St Peters Cathedral in Duhaga, Hoima West City Division on Sunday, Bishop Kahuma cited corruption, greed, land grabbing and sexual immorality as some of the evil acts taking the world backwards.<\/p>\n<p>He has noted that during this period where promotion of paganism is on the rise, Christians need to remain firm to their faith to be able to survive into Christianity.<\/p>\n<p>He challenges Christians to shy away from pagan teachings such homosexuality promoted by some\u00a0religious leaders and challenged them\u00a0to focus on the bible teachings.<\/p>\n<p>The Bishop notes\u00a0that the resurrection of Jesus Christ should give hope to Christians that Jesus has the authority over every situation.<\/p>\n<p>He adds that the resurrection is also the foundation\u00a0of faith and the Church and urged the Christians to surrender their lives to Christ to able to live\u00a0meaningful life.<\/p>\n<p>Robert Owagonza the Bunyoro Kitara Diocesean head of laity has challenged Christians and the general public to celebrate responsibly and avoid unnecessary expenditure but put in the mind that there are other financial needs tomorrow.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Johnson Kanyesige The Bishop of Bunyoro Kitara Diocese Rt.
