He says that those that have been vaccinated include teachers, Journalists, medical workers from various health facilities, the elderly and other front line workers.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Tumusiime notes that much as the front liners in the district have embraced the vaccination, the uncertainty about the safety of the vaccine is still affecting the exercise.<\/p>\n<p>Tumusiime further reveals that ever since the outbreak of the covid-19 pandemic in the country, Hoima Regional referral Hospital Ebola Treatment Unit has handled 137 clients with only one active case remaining.<\/p>\n<p>The cases were from Hoima, Kikuube, Kiryandongo, Masindi, Adjumani and Kyankwanzi.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Leilah Bbaale The number of people receiving the covid-19 vaccine in Hoima district has increased in the last week. \u00a0Hoima district received 5,230 doses of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine in March.
