Henry Tumukunde has spoken out about the \u2018irregularities\u2019 in the just concluded poll saying he is considering going to court to challenge President Museveni\u2019s 6<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0term win.<\/p>\n<p>Tumukunde who had reported to Kampala City Hall Court for mention of his treason and Unlawful possession of firearms case says the election was marred by cases of ballot stuffing, arresting of candidates, polling agents and multiple voting incidents on which he claims he has collected enough evidence to enable him challenge Museveni\u2019s victory in the Supreme court.<!--more-->Tumukunde says he intends to work together with the NUP party who have already declared their intention over the same.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am not compromised of small monies and so on, Buganda has demonstrated that they can remove a person from their constituency which they did successfully, it remains a fact that should any other Ugandan know what to mobilize and change\u00a0 a government, voting is still an option,\u201d said Tumukunde.<\/p>\n<p>He adds that \u201cas you can tell, I share a lawyer with one of the candidates so we are trying to see what we can do in these very difficult circumstances.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this morning, city Hall Court adjourned to\u00a0<a href=\"\/\/2\/\">February 17<\/a><sup><a href=\"\/\/2\/\">th<\/a><\/sup><a href=\"\/\/2\/\">\u00a02021\u00a0<\/a>a treason\u00a0case against Tumukunde.<\/p>\n<p>The case was adjourned by grade one magistrate Valerian Tuhimbise and on that date the court will rule on an application filed by Tumukunde is seeking to halt his trial in unlawful possession of firearms.<\/p>\n<p>The lawyers want Tumukunde\u2019s case stayed and the file forwarded to the High court to resolve torturous allegations while their client was in custody.<\/p>\n<p>Tumukunde is also facing 4 counts of unlawful possession of fire firearms.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Leilah Bbaale One of defeated candidates in the just concluded Presidential polls, Lt Gen.
