{"id":11477,"date":"2026-08-19T10:20:46","date_gmt":"2026-08-19T10:20:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/spicemedia.ug\/spicefm\/?p=11477"},"modified":"2026-08-19T10:40:53","modified_gmt":"2026-08-19T10:40:53","slug":"laboratory-technician-perishes-in-hoima-road-crash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/spicemedia.ug\/spicefm\/2026\/08\/19\/laboratory-technician-perishes-in-hoima-road-crash\/","title":{"rendered":"Laboratory Technician Perishes in Hoima Road Crash"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>By Johnson Kanyesige<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">One person has died following a road crash that occurred in Hoima City on Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">The deceased has been identified as Allan Musoke, 27, who has been working as a laboratory technician at City Medicals in Hoima City.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">The crash occurred at around 5am near Hoima High Court premises in Kijungu cell in Hoima East division along Government Road involving a motor vehicle Toyota Altezza with registration number UBF 439 E that was being driven by the deceased.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Information obtained reveals that the driver was moving facing Kijungu direction and upon reaching near Hoima High Court premises, he lost control of the vehicle, hit the pavement and veered off the road. The driver sustained fatal injuries and died instantly at the scene.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Speaking to Spice FM this morning, SP Julius Allan Hakiiza, the Albertine South Regional Police spokesperson, says the scene was visited by a team of officers from Hoima CPS who documented the crime scene and later conveyed the body of the deceased to Hoima Regional Referral Hospital Mortuary pending postmortem.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Hakiiza says the motor vehicle UBF 439E was towed and parked at Hoima Central Parking Yard pending IOV inspection adding that inquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">The police mouthpiece says preliminary information indicate the crash was due to reckless driving by the driver and has urged all motorists to observe speed limits, avoid reckless driving, and ensure vehicle roadworthiness especially during early morning hours noting that road safety is a shared responsibility.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Johnson Kanyesige One person has died following a road crash that occurred in Hoima City on Wednesday morning.
