{"id":11384,"date":"2026-07-28T07:19:41","date_gmt":"2026-07-28T07:19:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/spicemedia.ug\/spicefm\/?p=11384"},"modified":"2026-07-28T07:20:57","modified_gmt":"2026-07-28T07:20:57","slug":"police-in-bunyoro-ready-for-lci-elections","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/spicemedia.ug\/spicefm\/2026\/07\/28\/police-in-bunyoro-ready-for-lci-elections\/","title":{"rendered":"Police in Bunyoro Ready for LCI Elections"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>By Flavia Ajok<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Police in Albertine North have confirmed they are fully prepared to provide security during the Local Council One elections scheduled for today, 28th July 2026.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Authorities say all operational plans are in place and they expect the polls to be conducted peacefully.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Speaking to the media, Mugisa Solomon, the Community Liaisons Officer and Acting PRO for Albertine North, said the force has completed identifying hotspots and the operation order is ready.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">He assured residents that police are set to maintain law and order during the elections.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Mugisa added that police will work together with sister security agencies including the army and prisons to ensure a peaceful election.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">He urged voters to elect leaders based on merit and not on tribe or religion and warned against being forced or influenced to vote a certain way.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">He also cautioned voters against going to polling stations while drunk and said anyone forcing people to line up for particular candidates will be arrested.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">The PRO further revealed that patrols will begin today.
