Hon Godfrey Muhonge Kasanga, on Wednesday was sworn in as the new LC5 Chairperson of Kibaale District, retaining his seat for a second term in office.<\/p>\n
Together with elected councilors, took oaths administered by Nazifa Namayanja, the Chief Magistrate of Kibaale, who called on the new leaders to work diligently and maintain honesty, and desist from corruption.\u00a0The swearing in of the district LCV chairperson and his council was held at the district headquarters.<\/p>\n
Speaking after taking his oath, Muhonge promised to ensure unity and development, fight corruption during this term of office but most importantly to ensure he introduces suggestion boxes in all sub counties that will help him collect peoples\u2019 views and feedback timely.<\/p>\n
Relatedly,<\/strong><\/p>\n Masindi<\/strong><\/p>\n Patrick Wobusobozi, the newly sworn in Masindi district LCV Chairperson has\u00a0pledged to prioritize improved service delivery to residents of Masindi District.<\/p>\n Wobusobozi and the district councilors took oath on Wednesday evening during a ceremony held at the district headquarters gardens. The event was presided over by Gumtwero J Olal, the Chief Magistrate of Masindi.<\/p>\n Speaking to journalists shortly after taking oath, Wobusobozi pledged to work closely with the district council and local communities to ensure improved service delivery across the district.<\/p>\n He highlighted key priorities including extension of water and electricity services, rehabilitation of roads, and monitoring of government projects.<\/p>\n Samuel Ruhweza Kaija, the Chief Administrative Officer of Masindi, commended the cooperation that existed between the outgoing leadership and the council and pledged continued collaboration between the technical team and the new political leadership.<\/p>\n Ruhweza also urged the new leaders to embrace consultation, seek technical guidance, and carry out research before making decisions.<\/p>\n Cosmas Byaruhanga, the outgoing district chairperson called for unity and cooperation among leaders.
