According to the roadmap, polling and tallying of results will take place on June 10, 2026. The roadmap outlines key dates and activities, including the communication of vacancies and programs to political parties and organizations on April 27.<\/p>\n<p>The update of the national voters&#8217; register will take place from April 28<sup>th<\/sup>-30<sup>th<\/sup>, 2026, while the nomination of candidates will take place from May 25<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0to May 26<sup>th<\/sup>, 2026, at the district headquarters. On May 27<sup>th<\/sup>, 2026, there will be a candidates&#8217; meeting to harmonize campaign programs and form liaison committees.<\/p>\n<p>The campaign period for the candidates vying for the LC5 position will run from May 28<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0to June 8th, spanning 12 days. Training of polling day officials, political parties, and candidates&#8217; agents, as well as the issuance of appointment letters, will occur from June 4<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0to June 5th.<\/p>\n<p>April 30th, has been set as the cut-off date for voter registration and transfer of voting locations in Hoima district. EC Chairperson Simon Byabakama told journalists on Monday the Kikuube Chief Administrative Officer officially notified the Commission about the vacancy, in accordance with the Local Government Act.
