Candidates could not be allowed to register without a record of CA scores,\u201d Kalule said.<\/p>\n<p>Her remarks eased earlier fears that some schools might fail to meet the requirement due to the teachers\u2019 strike that disrupted the second and third terms. Under the new system, Continuous Assessment contributes 20 percent of the final grade, and every candidate must also complete a project. Both are mandatory components.<\/p>\n<p>A student who passes the written examination but lacks CA or project scores will not be awarded the UCE certificate.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, schools nationwide conducted candidate briefings to go over examination rules and regulations.
