Uganda Police Moves to Equip Institutions in Bunyoro with Fire Prevention and Rescues Services.

The Uganda Police’s Directorate of Fire and Rescue Services is conducting a week-long sensitization campaign in the Albertine Region on fire prevention and rescue services at various institutions

Speaking to Spice FM this morning, Julius Allan Hakiiza the Albertine regional police spokesperson says they are majorly targeting institutions like hotels, schools, timber yards, medical facilities, Police divisions among others after cases of fire outbreaks have continued to rise in the region.

Hakiiza says the sensitization campaign will be aimed at educating on fire prevention measures, teaching how to fight fires and demonstrating proper installation and use of fire extinguishers.

The Albertine mouthpiece further says that this initiative aims to enhance preparedness and response to fire emergencies, ultimately reducing risks and protecting lives and property.
