Christians in Kagadi district have been urged to promote peace and unity ahead of the 2025/26 elections in which most political parties are currently engaged in a number of election activities.
According to Rev. Francis Mugisa the associate vicar St. Luke COU Kagadi parish in Kagadi town council, Kagadi district; embracing peaceful political engagements facilitates a conducive environment where citizens can exercise their political rights in voting for their favorite candidates.
Rev. Mugisa says as elections draw near and election fever keep rising, all Ugandans need to maintain peace and refrain from violent acts which he says can frustrate development programs in their communities and democratic electoral processes.
He has asked all the political candidates to focus on developmental issues and popularizing their manifestoes rather than blackmailing their opponents and promoting conflicts.
