Winners in NRM LCII Structure Elections in Hoima City Commit to Improve Service Delivery

Winners in the just concluded parish/ward structures elections for the National Resistance Movement (NRM) party in Hoima City have dedicated themselves to serving their party and improve service delivery in their communities in the City.

At Southern Ward polling station in Hoima East division, Joseph Byabasaija a resident of Kigaragara cell who won the LCII NRM Chairmanship with 68 votes has committed to serving his party diligently and ensure service delivery in the entire ward while Maimuuna Ahebwa who is the new Chairperson women league has commended voters for entrusting her with their votes and promised to lobby for them from higher offices.

Bantebya Tumusiime, the Kiryatete East LCI Chairperson commended the peaceful exercise where he revealed most incumbents have dropped and has urged the members to only choose those indiduals who will represent the interests of the local people.

At Kasingo warding polling station in Hoima West division, Tadeo Mugisa who was declared the NRM LCII Chairperson after obtaining 70 votes against Byona Byonta’s 27 votes in the Monday NRM Ward elections held across the country has pledged to facilitate uniting the party members in the entire ward ahead of the upcoming general elections.

At Kyesiiga ward polling station in Hoima West division, Friday Beatrice who was declared unopposed for the position of LCII NRM Chairperson commended the smooth process during election adding that they have agreed as party members to speak one voice by harnessing the aspect of unity. She noted that her responsibility is to ensure they work together to bring services to the local people as well as timely information from top offices.

Sunday Godfrey Omubyasi who was elected unopposed as the publicity secretary of the ward committed to disseminating timely information to the locals pertaining the party activities.

Sarah Kobusinge, the City NRM register noted that the exercise moved on smoothly in all the 16 wards across the City with minimal cases of violence registered where the only successfully party members at cell level participated in the voting who include the youth, women, mainstream, veterans, persons with disabilities and the elderly.
