The Bishop of Bunyoro Kitara diocese has encouraged Christians in the diocese to exhibit confidence as they go through life struggles and remain committed to their faith believing Jesus Christ who rose from the dead will give them victory.

Rt Rev Jacob Ateirweho Amooti, the Bishop of Bunyoro Kitara diocese was preaching on Easter Sunday morning service at St Peter’s Cathedral Duhaga in Hoima West division, Hoima City where he revealed that God is powerful enough to save them from any worldly challenges.

Bishop Ateirweho told the Christians to always remember the power of God that raised Jesus from the dead and overcome death will guide them through to victory in every life struggle.

The Bishop also tasked Christians to desist from being swayed away from the faith but rather remain committed to Jesus Christ who is the lamb of God, whose purpose on earth was to bear the sins of mankind when he died on the cross.

He also warned Christians against giving in to corruption where many of them have already fallen prey to the vice due to several promises of those against their faith. He cited an example of the security guards who were deployed to guard the tomb of Jesus Christ, however they were overpowered by the spiritual and divine power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead.

He further disclosed that, later, the chief priests at the time, gave money to these guards to lie that the disciples of Jesus have carried away His body in a bid to suppress the news of his resurrection where he says corruption has been around since time immemorial.

Meanwhile, the Bishop of Hoima Catholic Diocese Rt. Rev. Vincent Kirabo Amoooti, asked Christians to Let the resurrection of Christ and the blood shed as a sacrifice on the cross help them in transforming their lives, realize signs and blessings of Christ for everlasting life.
