Hoima regional referral hospital has embarked on engaging the communities in Bunyoro region as one way of improving on its services in the region.
The facility leadership has organized a one-day Baraaza to help the facility get feedback on their several health services it extends to the community. According to Dr Ibrahim Bwaga, the Acting hospital director, the Baraaza will take place this Thursday April 10, 2025 at the hospital premises in the afternoon hours.
Bwaga says the Baraaza is meant to provide a platform to inform the public regarding their services as they seek to involve every stakeholder in transformation of the health sector in the region.
“Hoima regional referral hospital in a bid to improve health services delivery to the region has organized a Baraaza to inform the public of the status of the hospital, its services and also get feedback on areas of improvement, a notice from the facility leadership to all stakeholders says in part.
For the past years, a number of locals in the region have expressed discontent over alleged extortion by the health workers, buying of drugs and other kits in order to access services at the facility.
