Masindi High Court on Tuesday set April 23, 2025 as a date to deliver the judgement on the aggravated defilement case against Hosea Kiiza, the former head-teacher of St Kizito Muuro Primary School, in Bujenje County, Masindi district.

The Judgement stems from cases filed in 2022 accusing Hosea of defiling both a 15 and a 14-year-old girl, all from the same school, in the same year.

Though the court recently dismissed one case involving the 14-year-old girl after witnesses in that case failed to turn-up in court, Hosea has been battling with the remaining case.

Last-week, two witnesses including the then School Matron, Ms. Judith Nyandera and the Senior Woman teacher, testified in court how they were aware that on one Friday during second term in 2022, Mr. Hosea drove one of the victims out of the school premises.

The School Matron testified that she saw the victim returning to school the next morning and shortly after, she received a call from Hosea inquiring whether the victim had safely reached school.

The victim (names withheld) also pinned her former head-teacher of soliciting her into sexual acts, when she was 15-year-old.

However, while giving in his defense in court on Tuesday, Hosea boldly denied the accusations saying they were just framed.

Hosea told court that on Friday June 11, 2022 at around 5PM, he moved out of school with the victim, taking her to Kinenabuhere trading center to a tailor, to measure for her a school uniform.

Hosea added that he was advised by his wife to let the victim sleep at their home, since it was too late to return her to school.

The second defense witness, a 12-year-old son of Hosea told court that he slept in the same room with the victim and nothing interrupted them throughout the night.

Consequently, the trial Judge, Justice Isah Sserunkuma directed the parties to submit their defence by March 28, 2025 and ruling will be delivered on April 23, 2025.
