The territorial police of Hoima city are hunting for two unknown assailants who invaded home of Indian nationals and stole 50million shillings, smart phones among other valuables.
The victims have been identified as Adri Eddy and Vinod Kumar both Indian nationals and residents of Kiryatete East cell in Hoima East division.
Speaking to Spice FM in an interview at his office on Monday, Julius Allan Hakiza the Albertine region police spokesperson explained that the robbery incident happened between 1:00am and 2:25am in the same area on Sunday night.
The victims were robbed smart phones and cash worth 50million shillings adding that the unknown assailants were suspected to be armed and a gun with 4 rounds of ammunition was left at the scene.
Hakiza stressed that one John Okello a security guard attached to Radar Tech Security Company was arrested to aid investigations which has since kicked off.
