An administration block worth over Sh900M has officially been handed over to Hoima Catholic Diocese under its Education department as a way of boosting the Education sector in the Diocese.
The handover was held on Saturday at Hoima Diocese headquarters in Hoima City, West Division and was officiated by Patrick Mwesigwa Isingoma the Member of Parliament for Hoima East Division.
Obama disclosed that in his manifesto, there is a component of supporting different religious institutions that is why he decided to support the construction of an administration block at Hoima catholic diocese as he has been doing in other religions. He added that the love and faith of community members should be supported by actions and not pledges.
Rt. Rev. Vincent Kirabo Amooti the Bishop of Hoima catholic diocese while leading the mass asked people to repent and return to God, pray more and do good deeds. He commended the efforts of Hon Dr. Patrick Isingoma and Mrs. Peace Tesiima Isingoma saying the legislator contributed 95% for the diocesan block that cost over 900M.
Dr. Joseph Ruyonga the Member of parliament Hoima City West Division applauded the family of Dr. Patrick Isingoma for constructing the diocesan block. He added that there is a need for leaders to learn to do things that will leave behind a lasting legacy in their communities they serve.
Badru Mugabi the Hoima City Resident Commissioner, applauded the Diocese for allocating land in Bujumbura where a police station will be constructed, assuring people that once the deployment of police officers is done, security will be heightened.
