Kibaale police are investigating the circumstances under which a 35-year-old man was killed following an alleged case of theft.
The deceased, identified as Emmanuel Ndizima, was a resident of Kahanami Village, Nyamarwa Sub-county, Kibaale District.
According to reports, in the early hours of January 31, Ndizima was caught red-handed by residents while allegedly stealing goats, prompting an irate mob to take the law into their own hands.
Sources indicate that the stolen goats belonged to his in-laws.
He was rescued by the village chairperson and rushed to Nyamarwa Health Center but was later transferred to Kibaale Health Center IV, where he was pronounced dead.
