The 2024 Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) results will be officially released on Thursday, January 23, 2025.
In a press statement released by Jennifer Kalule Musamba, the principal public relations officer at Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB), the minister of education and sports Janet Kataha Museveni will officially release the results tomorrow starting at 11am at State House Nakasero.
Kalule revealed that on Tuesday, UNEB led by Chairperson Prof Celestino Obua briefed the Minister and the ministry of education and sports top officials on the general performance of the 2024 PLE candidates.
“During the briefing, UNEB Executive Director (ED) Mr Dan N Odongo revealed that overall, the performance of candidates in 2024 is better than that of 2023”, Kalule added in a statement
A total of 798,783 sat for the 2024 PLE out of which 419,357 were females while 379,414 were males.
According to the school calendar released last year, the placement of PLE candidates will take place on January 27 and 28 and later Senior One students will report for the new academic year on February 10, 2025.
