OPM Donates Iron Sheets to Hoima Schools

Three vulnerable Schools in Hoima City have received 300 pieces of iron sheets from the office of the Prime Minister through the ministry of Bunyoro affairs with a call to use them for the intended purposes.

During the FY 2023/2024, the Office of the Prime Minister through Bunyoro affairs portfolio procured iron sheets to support vulnerable institutions and communities in a bid to improve housing conditions in Bunyoro Sub Region.

The iron sheets were handed over to the beneficiaries by the state minister of Bunyoro affairs Jenipher Namuyangu Kacha at RCC’s office on Wednesday.

The Beneficiary Schools in the City include St. Mary’s Primary School, St, Aloysius Primary School and Mparo Primary School each getting 100 pieces.

Annet Kabasomi the Head teacher St. Mary’s Primary School narrated to Spice FM that, some of the structures have been leaking saying they will use the iron sheets to roof leaking parts therefore extending her gratitude to the Government for this support.

Moses Muyambi, the Deputy RCC Hoima East Division, asked the beneficiaries to use the iron sheets for the intended purpose.

Brian Kaboyo the Mayor Hoima City disclosed that the Government has several programs that are meant to benefit different communities adding that as leaders they are lobbying to ensure people benefit. He asked the beneficiary schools not to misuse and steal them.
