Drama ensued on Monday afternoon in Katoma village, Nyamarunda Sub County in Kibaale district as relatives of a deceased 18-year-old teenager carried his body to the home of one resident identified as Milton Ndigame, whose sons are accused of killing the deceased.

It is alleged that Wilber Musinguzi, now deceased was assaulted by a gang of four youths in a local bar located in Kitooga village in February this year.

Musinguzi sustained severe injuries and was rushed to a clinic in Kitooga village but later transferred to Kagadi general hospital from where he was further referred to Kasese general hospital. His condition deteriorated until last weekend when he breathed his last.

According to the relatives of the deceased, the four accused youths are Obed, Mani, Birimumaiso and Byamukama, all biological children of Milton Ndigame and residents of Katoma village.

Damaseni Karikumutima, the father to the deceased tells our reporter that, police officers from Kibaale police station picked the body for a post-mortem and later handed it back to the family for burial.

However, Damaseni and his relatives carried the body to the suspect’s home where they dug a grave in the courtyard and buried the late.

Relatives of the deceased insist that the drastic decision was taken since Ndigame’s sons caused the death of their relative, daring anyone never to exhume it.

Shocked residents led by Ezira Mugisa, the chairperson of Katoma village have condemned the tough decision of the deceased’s relatives calling upon police to intervene before bloodshed.

By press time, police from Nyamarunda police post had already visited the scene and could not do much as the burial had been completed.

Spice FM has learnt that Ndigame’s four accused sons together with the father have since fled the area to unknown locations.

However, police has since arrested one suspect identified only as Birimumaiso who is currently detained at Kibaale police station.
