The Hoima District Executive Committee (DEC) has started the process of elevating Kabaale Sub county to a Municipality status.
This was revealed by the district LCV chairperson Uthuman Mubarak Mugisha in an interview with a spice FM reporter on Tuesday.
According to Uthuman, the DEC members have unanimously agreed to the elevation plans because of the existing and new developments in the sub county like the Hoima international Airport, the Kabalega industrial park among others
He has further revealed that they have written the Local Government Minister Raphael Magyezi seeking his guidance on the process.
He is optimistic the new development will bring employment and infrastructure developments in the sub county.
