Hoima City to Legalize Facility Maintainence Fee at Hoima Tax and Bus Park

Hoima city leadership is on the move to increase revenue collections in the next financial year 2024/25 with the efforts now geared towards exploring more sources and revenue mobilization strategies in the city.

While presenting the budget estimates for the new financial year Sylvia Nalumaga Balyesiima the secretary for finance revealed they interested to raise 3.3billion shillings from local revenue sources.

Now, Brian Kaboyo the Hoima City mayor says they are embarking on growing revenue in the city. He adds that for better services, the dwellers should embrace the revenue mobilization plans presented by the leadership of the city.

Joshua Byenkya the male councilor for Hoima West division revealed they are looking at legalizing the facility maintainence fee from Hoima tax park as the city moves to take full control of the park issues.

Byenkya revealed it is a responsibility of the city to ensure smooth running of the park and urged dwellers to play their part in paying taxes in time as the city moves to take charge of the collection of the facility maintainence fees.

Idd Magezi, the male councilor for Hoima East division, says in the general purpose committee they agreed the park maintenance fees be maintained at 2000 for small cars and 20000 for buses.
