Police in Kakumiro district is holding one Emmanuel Byamugisha, a resident of Rugoigo LC1 in Kisaigi parish, Kakindo Sub County for allegedly cutting off the hand of one Benjamin Bategana, a resident of the same village.
Julius Allan Hakiza the albertine region police mouthpiece disclosed that on December 31, 2023 in the morning, the two picked a quarrel over unknown reason while in the garden and at night at around 8:30PM, Bategana went to Byamugisha to quarrel again.
Hakiza explains that Byamugisha then chased Bategana before he cut off his right hand.
He adds that Byamugisha has been arrested and will be charged with attempted murder.
