The Kagadi Grade One Magistrate has remanded a 31-year-old pastor to Mambugu Government prison on charges of burglary and theft.
Court presided over by his worship Edward Kayuki heard that on July 26, 2023 at Kitonzi Cell, Kitegwa Ward in Kagadi town council, Kagadi District, William Talemwa alias Pastor a resident of Kigangaizi cell Kitegwa Ward Kagadi town council Kagadi District broke into the house of Elidad Kateba a resident of Kitonzi Cell Kitegwa Ward Kagadi town council Kagadi District with an intention of committing a felony of theft and stole Sh20.03m.
While in the dock, Pastor Talemwa pleaded not guilty of the charges.
The presiding magistrate remanded him to Mambugu government prison until August 18, 2023 as investigations continue.
