The three members of Hoima City Service Commission and the Hoima West City Division Principal town clerk Ahmed Mugisa who were arrested on Monday by the State House Anti-Corruption Unit in conjunction have been released on police bond as investigations continue.
The members of the Hoima City Service Commission who include the commission chairperson Amir Nsamo, Donald Bategeka and Ibrahim Bigabwa secured police bond at Central Police station in Kampala on Wednesday evening.
In a phone interview with our reporter, Mariam Natasha, the unit’s senior communication officer confirmed their release and was quick to add the officials will be presented before the anti-corruption court in Kampala once investigations are done.
Nsamo, Bategeka and Bigabwa were arrested over abuse of office and corruption tendencies while Ahmed Mugisa the principal town clerk was arrested on conspiracy charges.
