Security in Hoima district has vowed to close all butcheries in Kigorobya County due to increased cattle theft in the district.
Speaking to Spice FM, Michael Kyakashari the Hoima RDC say there are increased cases of theft of livestock in Kigorobya noting that most of the stolen cows are slaughtered and sold in butcheries within the area.
He says all suspects who have been arrested for cattle theft will be prosecuted.
He notes that the district security committee plans to close all meat selling points as part of the measures to investigate and curb the vice.
