The Bishop of Bunyoro Kitara diocese Rt Rev Samuel Kahuma Abwooli has tasked male parents to own up their responsibility of looking after their birthed children to reduce on the increasing numbers of single mothers in the country.
Bishop Kahuma says both parents have a joint responsibility of raising up their children in a right way and remain present to attend to their basic and other needs.
He adds that Christians need to teach their children generally accepted morals and standards as well respect for humanity as well as teach their children on anger management and live exemplary lives by avoiding acts of husbands beating their wives infront of their children.
The Bishop rebuked male parents who are absent in the lives of their children and only wait to ask for things during the marriage of children.
