A 20-year-old woman has died after she was allegedly raped by an yet to be identified thug who broke into her parent’s house on Wednesday night.
The deceased identified as Juliet Tumusiime, a resident of Kyembogo Village Kasimbi Sub County Kibaale District breathed her on Thursday at Kibaale Health Centre IV where she had been admitted admitted following the Wednesday night attack.
Nusuki Kokubanza, the mother to the deceased narrates that in the wee hours of Wednesday night, an unknown male person broke into their house and stormed her daughter’s bedroom before he raped the victim leaving her in critical condition.
Nusuki adds the incident was tragic because it took them sometime to hear their daughter scream for help.
Tumusiime was first rushed to St Alustine health facility in Kasimbi but she was later referred to Kibaale Health center IV where she was pronounced dead an hour after admission.
Dr. Joseph Magara the in-charge of Kibaale Health Centre IV says Tumusiime succumbed to over bleeding, difficulty in breathing and vomiting of blood.
Police has embarked investigations into the incident.
