A teacher at Premier Senior Secondary School in Hoima City is on the spot for assaulting a female student.

The teacher only identified as Anthony is accused of beating a female student Brenda Matsika following a poor performance.

Richard Maate the father to the child says he received a phone call from one of the teachers at school that his child had been assaulted by teacher Anthony leaving her in critical condition.

He says he rushed to school but the school administration tossed him around since they never wanted to show him the daughter due to media presence.  Later, Maate says he was asked to get into a vehicle belonging to one of the school administrators and taken to EDPA Medical Services in Hoima City where he found her child in a comma.

Maate adds that this is not the first time his child is assaulted to a comma by teachers at the school.

He notes that recently, his daughter was beat into comma by John Baguma, one of the school directors for failing to wear a school uniform yet the school had failed to deliver the child’s school attire that he had paid for almost a year ago.

However, the school resident director, Moses Mugisa has apologized for the incident and pledged to investigate the atter.

He has also pledged that the school will this time round foot all medical bills for the student.

The incident comes barely a month after another teacher at the same school was dragged to police for assaulting a senior two student.

The student identified as Joan Nyangoma accused her teacher Justus Mukiibi of attacking her for allegedly talking during an entrepreneurship examination on March 17.

According to Nyangoma, Mukiibi slapped her several times and locked her in an office where he continued to assault her. After the incident, Nyangoma was taken to Jobita Medical Centre in Hoima for medical attention, where she was examined and found to have been assaulted on her back, both hands and the chest.
