Former primary seven candidates who sat the 2022 PLE at Nyankoma Primary School and their parents are dismayed over the delayed release of the PLE results.
On January 26, 2023, UNEB released the 2022 PLE results but none of the learners at Nyankoma Primary School have got theirs.
Kirabo Christopher, Wakisa Yasinta and other parents say the school administrators have failed to tell them what exactly happened to the results of the learners.
The angry parents on Wednesday stormed the school premises and vowed to demonstrate over the failure by the school to give them the results of the learners.
Imelda Tuhaise the school head teacher says they are also yet to find out why UNEB did not release the results of the learners.
She has asked each parent of the affected learners to pay Sh65,000 to facilitate the children to go to UNEB offices on January 24, 2023.
This after UNEB invited the school administrators, candidates and the Kagadi district schools inspector for questioning.
This comes at a time when UNEB is hearing cases against schools whose Primary Leaving Examination-PLE results were withheld.
Rose Mukasa Nabukenya, the Principal Examinations Officer in charge of Primary Leaving Examinations-PLE, says that the board has invited individuals of interest from schools whose results were withheld.
Despite UNEB not releasing the exact number of PLE results that were withheld, Dan Odongo, the Executive Director of UNEB, revealed that about 3,000 candidates from over 68 schools were affected.
