Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja has asked parents and guardians in the country to ensure that they send their children to school on the first day today so that teaching and learning can start.

Nabbanja made the call on Sunday at Kamusenene Catholic Church, in Nkooko sub county Kakumiro district during Sunday mass.

Nabbanja expressed concern that some parents and guardians have a tendency of delaying to send children to school hence affecting their concentration and performance.

The Kamusenene Village chairman Radson Kyesanga says that they will comb the entire village so that all school going children return to school.

Nabbanja challenged all believers to work hard and improve on their household income because it is key in the development of the Church.

Nabbanja says that members of Parliament have been sent on recess for their oversight role on the progress of the Parish Development model (PDM) and promised to avail all the necessary guidelines to ensure that they monitor the progress.

Rev. Fr. Mathias Ssekyanzi who celebrated mass asked all people of God to have a spirit helping those in need because this is one of the greatest commandments of God.
