Health workers at Buseruka Health Centre III in Hoima district are struggling to trace clients enrolled in Anti-Retroviral Treatment-ART.

Some clients enrolled have since abandoned treatment at the facility and have disappeared without a trace. The facility currently attends to 400 clients on ART.

Rostico Akugizibwe, the in-charge of the health facility says since the beginning of this year, they have lost more than 40 clients who have since abandoned treatment.  He says they are working with non-governmental organizations-NGOs like Baylor Uganda and meeting points to trace for the clients so that they can be put back on treatment.

Akugizibwe is worried that some of the patients could be suffering silently in the village without treatment which is a danger to their lives.
